As a blaster within the Pomerleau civil engineering & infrastructure team, you'll work closely with all team members in coordinating the work. Working on large-scale construction projects - ranging from $1.5 million to over $1 billion - you'll have the opportunity to participate and collaborate with team members to ensure that work is carried out according to specifications.

What You Will Do

1. Checks and maintains drilling and blasting equipment and accessories;
2. Organizes and carries out blasting operations or any other work requiring the use of explosives;
3. Prepares, organizes and carries out drilling operations using hydraulic drills;
4. Dynamite trenches, masses and road networks (pipeline);
5. With proper training and a valid card, the blaster may be required to use handling and motorized equipment such as forklifts, aerial work platforms, etc.
6. Adhere to safety procedures to ensure compliance with company and construction industry standards;
7. Work as part of a team, maintaining a pleasant and trusting working environment, communicating effectively with colleagues and other trades on the site;
8. Care for and maintain construction equipment;
9. Carry out all other related operational tasks.

This role could be for you if you have

1. A valid CCQ occupation card
2. A drilling and blasting DVS
3. ASP Construction & WHMIS 201 card
4. Valid driver's license - Class 5
5. Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar position
