Handyman/Woman - Maintenance and Repair Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Handyman/Woman to join our team at 2558698 Alberta Corp. as a Maintenance and Repair Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, making adjustments and minor repairs to various systems, and ensuring the overall upkeep of our facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities, including making adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Contact tradespersons for major repairs and maintenance, and oversee the work to ensure it is completed to a high standard.
- Balance the rent roll and ensure accurate records are maintained.
- Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment, and negotiate prices and services as needed.
- Perform minor repairs on appliances and equipment, and ensure they are functioning properly.
- Perform safety and security checks to identify potential hazards and take corrective action.
- Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed, and ensure they are stored safely.
- Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair, and ensure they are completed to a high standard.
- Work with minimal supervision and take initiative to complete tasks and projects.
- Work Term: Permanent and be committed to working a regular 40-hour week.
- Work Language: English and be able to communicate effectively with colleagues and management.
