We are seeking a skilled Victim Services Counsellor to join our team at Family Services of Greater Vancouver. As a key member of our team, you will provide critical support to individuals who have experienced trauma and violence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counselling services to clients who have experienced trauma and violence.
  • Develop and implement trauma-informed care plans to support clients in their recovery journey.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure comprehensive support services are provided to clients.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in trauma-informed care.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. social work, counselling, psychology).
  • 2 years of experience working with individuals who have experienced trauma and violence.
  • Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
