We are seeking an Environmental Field Program Specialist to join our team at WSP Canada. This role offers a competitive salary of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Description

The Environmental Field Program Specialist will be responsible for assisting with the implementation of various environmental field programs. This includes inspecting, monitoring, and conducting environmental field activities such as water management, erosion and sediment control, dust management, noise monitoring, environmental sample collection, and environmental emergency response.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in environmental science or related fields, and/or a college diploma/certificate in environmental science with the right skillset. They will also possess technical writing and critical thinking skills, be able to multitask and prioritize evolving requirements, and have strong communication and teamwork skills.

In this role, you will work in a dynamic environment that combines fieldwork with technical tasks. You will have the opportunity to develop your technical writing skills by creating daily management plans and logs, while recording key environmental data.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science or related fields (preferred) or a college diploma/certificate in environmental science with the right skillset
  • Technical writing and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize evolving requirements
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Experience in the nuclear or construction/remediation-based sector (considered an asset)
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and all programs under MS Office
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001
  • Eligibility for reliability status security clearance
  • Valid G driver's license
