We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Heavy Duty Field Mechanic at our branch.
About the Role
As a Heavy Duty Field Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, servicing, and maintaining a diverse fleet of construction equipment, including earth-moving equipment, compaction equipment, and aerial equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and service equipment on customer jobsites to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend its lifespan.
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions and make required repairs on customer jobsites.
- Test repaired equipment for proper performance on customer jobsites.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to customers.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspections, maintenance, and work orders.
- Assist with equipment repairs and maintenance in the shop, when available.
- Adhere to all company Health and Safety Policies and procedures.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of mechanical experience working on construction equipment in a field service role.
- Valid Class G driver's license with a clean or satisfactory driver's abstract.
- Complete set of tools and a strong understanding of computer applications and diagnostic tools.
- Strong working knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic pumps, and motors.
- Flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
