Job Summary

Central Protection Services Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accounting Professional to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping
    • Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
    • Calculate fixed assets and depreciation
    • Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
    • Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
    • Post journal entries
  • Financial Reporting
    • Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports
    • Prepare tax returns
    • Prepare trial balance of books
    • Reconcile accounts
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge
    • Proficient in accounting software
    • Experience with MS Access, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word
    • Familiarity with Quick Books
  • Security and Safety
    • Must undergo a criminal record check
  • Transportation/Travel Information
    • Must have a valid driver's licence and own transportation
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
    • Attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks
    Requirements
    • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
    • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in accounting
