Description:
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with Alberta Health Services, you will be part of an interprofessional healthcare team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level, and AHS policies and procedures. Your role will be to provide safe, quality patient and family-centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.
Required Qualifications:Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, be a team player, and willing to train and assist in all areas of Home Care. You will provide care in clients' private homes, Lodge settings, and Ambulatory clinics. You must have your own vehicle and be willing to drive in all weather and road conditions.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience in Rural Home Care and using Connect Care. Wound care and palliative experience are assets.
