Job Title: Residential Construction Site Supervisor

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Residential Construction Site Supervisor to join our team at Alberta Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising workers and projects, coordinating and scheduling activities, and ensuring the successful completion of residential construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise workers and projects to ensure timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Coordinate and schedule activities to meet project deadlines and budgets.
  • Recruit and hire workers and carry out related staffing actions.
  • Train or arrange for training to ensure workers have the necessary skills and knowledge.
  • Estimate costs and materials to ensure projects are completed within budget.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Recommend personnel actions to ensure the team is working effectively.
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure projects are completed on time.
  • Read blueprints and drawings to understand project requirements.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in residential construction.
  • Ability to work outdoors in a noisy environment.
  • Ability to work in a construction setting with residential projects.
  • Ability to supervise 5-10 people, including trades helpers and labourers.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and demonstrate client focus, dependability, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, and team player skills.
