Catering Service Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Catering Service Manager to join our team at Coast Restaurant. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of catering services for various events and functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze budgets to optimize profits and maintain the restaurant's financial health
  • Evaluate daily operations to ensure seamless execution of catering services
  • Monitor staff performance to maintain high standards of quality and customer satisfaction
  • Plan and organize daily operations to meet the needs of clients and events
  • Recruit and train staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional catering services
  • Set staff work schedules to ensure adequate coverage and minimize overtime
  • Supervise staff to maintain a positive and productive work environment
  • Determine the type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures to ensure efficient delivery
  • Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations to maintain compliance
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed to protect staff and clients
  • Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies to secure the best prices and quality
  • Negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities to meet their needs and preferences
  • Participate in marketing plans and implementation to promote catering services and increase revenue
  • Lead and instruct individuals to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional catering services
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Provide customer service to ensure clients are satisfied with the catering services
  • Manage events to ensure they are executed smoothly and to the satisfaction of clients
  • Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations to maintain high standards of quality and customer satisfaction
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Efficient interpersonal skills and ability to work with a team
  • Ability to negotiate and problem-solve
  • Knowledge of MS Office and computer technology
