Veterinary Receptionist, Technician Assistant

Location: Calgary, AB

Tuscany Veterinary Hospital is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Veterinary Receptionist, Technician Assistant to support our team. This part-time opportunity involves a range of responsibilities that contribute to the efficient daily operation of the hospital. Your primary responsibility is to ensure our clients and their pets feel welcome and cared for.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create a warm and welcoming environment for our patients and pet owners
  • Assist veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments as needed
  • Manage phone calls and appointments effectively
  • Place follow-up calls to pet owners and schedule future appointments
  • Respond to client inquiries and manage email correspondence
  • Admit and discharge pet patients, including grooming clients
  • Invoice and bill clients, creating estimates and processing payments
  • Schedule appointments and maintain a clean and organized reception area
  • Stay up-to-date on pet nutrition and wellness, and assist clients in finding the right diet for their pets
  • Provide excellent customer service and put clients at ease
  • Perform general housekeeping duties, including cleaning the reception area and pet holding areas
