Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Medical Science Liaison to join our team at Eli Lilly and Company. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a global healthcare leader and contribute to the development of life-changing medicines.

As a Medical Science Liaison, you will serve as a scientific resource for Canadian experts in the field of Diabetes, Obesity, and related disorders. Your primary responsibility will be to respond to requests for in-depth, cutting-edge scientific information from the medical community.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Scientific Information Provision
  • You will gather and provide accurate, up-to-date medical and scientific knowledge to healthcare professionals.
  • This will involve sharing the latest research findings, scientific literature, and updates on our educational activities and pipeline research.
Feedback and Insight Gathering
  • You will gather feedback and insights from scientific experts and thought leaders to inform our research and strategic direction.
  • This will enable us to better understand the needs of the medical community and develop targeted solutions.
Scientific Collaboration
  • You will facilitate scientific exchange between the academic community and our organization.
  • This will involve building relationships with external customers, including scientific experts, researchers, educators, and clinical investigators.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in health sciences, with a PhD, MD, or Pharm D degree and 2-3 years of relevant clinical or therapeutic experience in Diabetes.
  • Alternatively, you may have an MSc in healthcare or a professional designation, with 5 or more years of relevant clinical experience in Diabetes.
  • Previous MSL experience and sound knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry are also highly valued.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex scientific information in a clear and concise manner.
  • A strong understanding of the academic community and medical research, with the ability to build relationships with external customers.
  • Proficiency in English, with French being an asset.
