Job Summary

Groupe DSD Inc is seeking a skilled Plastic Injection Moulding Equipment Operator to join our team. As an Injection Moulding Production Specialist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating moulding machines to produce high-quality plastic products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and make minor adjustments to equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Weigh resins, colorants, and other chemicals according to formulae to produce the desired material consistency.
  • Monitor and inspect the quality of material produced to meet company standards.
  • Operate mixing machines to blend plastic and other chemicals to a specific consistency and viscosity.
  • Unload mixture into containers or conveyors for further processing.
  • Set up and operate calender machines to transform plastic bales or slabs into continuous sheets or films of specified thickness.
  • Adjust calender rollers for production line changes.
  • Set up and operate extruding machines to extrude plastic compounds through nozzles or dies.
  • Change dies on extruding machines according to production line changes.
  • Prepare and change moulds and adjust equipment for production line changes.
  • Follow formulation cards to mix resin batches for injection moulding processes.
  • Trim and sand plastic or fiberglass parts to meet quality standards.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Willingness to relocate.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment with repetitive tasks, attention to detail, and manual dexterity.
  • Excellent oral communication skills.
  • Dependability, accuracy, and reliability.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
Work Environment

Groupe DSD Inc offers a permanent position with 40 hours of work per week. The work environment is physically demanding, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. The ideal candidate will have a steel-toed safety boot, safety glasses/goggles, earplugs, and gloves.
