Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Roofing Supervisor to join our team at Valad Roofing & Construction Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation and maintenance of roofing systems, ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Supervise and coordinate roofing projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of roofers, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the necessary tools and resources to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular site visits to inspect work in progress and ensure that it meets our high standards of quality and safety.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that all team members follow health and safety protocols and procedures, and report any incidents or near-misses to management.
  • Communication: Liaise with customers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that roofing projects are completed to their satisfaction.
  • Inventory Management: Manage and maintain inventory of roofing materials and equipment, ensuring that they are properly stored and secured.
  • Training and Development: Provide on-the-job training and coaching to new team members, and participate in ongoing training and development programs to stay up-to-date with industry best practices.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as construction management or engineering.
  • Experience: 3-4 years of experience in roofing, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Proficient in project management software and tools, with experience in inventory management and quality control.
  • Certifications: OSHA certification and any other relevant certifications or licenses.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: Outdoor work environment, with exposure to varying weather conditions.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work at heights, lift heavy materials, and perform physical labor for extended periods.
  • Work Schedule: 30 hours per week, with flexibility to work overtime as needed.
