Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Care Coordinator to join our team at Northern Health Region. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering patient/client/elder care in assigned areas.

Responsibilities will include working within an interprofessional team, functioning within the provisions of the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM) Standards of Practice, and making clinical practice decisions. You will also have the authority to delegate duties to other healthcare workers as appropriate.

As a Charge Nurse, you will be accountable for coordinating care on the unit, planning and coordinating discharge services with other agencies, and using resources prudently and effectively.

Key qualifications for this role include current active practicing registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM), current certification from a recognized Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider, and proficiency in using clindoc documentation system and EDIS.

  • Current active practicing registration with College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM)
  • Current certification from a recognized Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) course
  • Emergency Practice, Interventions & Care, Canada (EPICC) Foundations Level
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) course
  • Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC)
  • Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale (CTAS) course
  • Electrocardiogram (ECG) Rhythm Analysis course
  • Two (2) years recent experience in applicable department/unit/program
  • Working knowledge of Windows based programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) and Internet
