We are currently seeking a skilled Sr. Systems Design Engineer to join one of our top clients on a contract or permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical, electrical, controls, or systems engineering and experience working with high-level clients.

Job Description

The successful candidate will work closely with the customer, project manager, design, assembly, and software teams to design solutions that meet the customer's requirements. They will be responsible for leading technical projects from cradle to launch, guiding design teams, managing technical risk, and driving improvements in quality, cost, and delivery.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to thrive as a technical leader, wear multiple hats, and develop expertise in nuclear tooling and equipment development and testing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop complex systems and equipment
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success
  • Leverage expertise in machine design, build, and control to drive innovation
  • Develop and maintain technical knowledge in nuclear energy and related fields


Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
  • 10 years of experience in mechanical, electrical, controls, or systems engineering support
  • Experience in nuclear tooling and equipment development and testing, preferably including field support and experience
  • Strong understanding of machine design and build, machine controls, structured problem solving, statistical analysis, and precision engineering principles
  • Excellent communication skills and experience working with high-level clients

Candidates with the following skills and experience will be highly competitive:
  • Licensed Professional Engineer designation in Ontario (P.Eng.)
  • Nuclear Energy Worker status or willingness to work in a nuclear environment
