About the Job

As a Senior Manager, Financial Institutions Credit Risk at Scotiabank, you will have the opportunity to join our Global Risk Management team and contribute to the development of our credit portfolio. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing pertinent financial and industry information, performing in-depth risk assessments, and identifying material risk issues for incoming credit applications.

Responsibilities:
  • Liaise and maintain strong working relationships with marketing and execution personnel in banking units globally.
  • Review documentation governing particular credit facilities as required.
  • Provide accurate data in a timely manner to satisfy regulatory and quarterly/monthly reporting requirements.
Requirements:
  • Risk assessment and portfolio management experience.
  • Financial statement analysis and ability to conduct in-depth credit assessments of financial institutions.
  • Knowledge of credit analysis frameworks and experience in their application to complex financial institutions globally.
