The Globe 24-7 client in Toronto, Canada is seeking a highly skilled IT professional to lead the implementation of a complex maintenance management system and support SAP operations for a French-speaking team in West Africa.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced IT Manager with a strong background in SAP, project management, and maintenance systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive large-scale SAP experience, preferably in mining or heavy industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance System Rollout: Spearhead the implementation of a robust maintenance management system, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure and smooth rollout across all locations, with a focus on West Africa.
  • SAP Expertise & Assistance: Serve as the primary point of contact for SAP, supporting the team in West Africa with system functionalities, troubleshooting, and hands-on training to improve efficiency and system usability.
  • IT Infrastructure Oversight: Manage and maintain the company's IT systems and infrastructure, ensuring they are secure, reliable, and fully support business operations.
  • Training & Collaboration: Work directly with the West African team to deliver tailored training in French and ensure effective communication. Support system adoption and assist in resolving any user-related issues.
  • Project Leadership: Manage the full lifecycle of key IT projects, particularly related to SAP and maintenance systems, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and with clear communication to all stakeholders.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of IT management experience, with a focus on SAP implementation and support in large-scale environments.
  • Proven expertise in maintenance management systems, including full-cycle implementation and integration.
  • Background in mining, heavy industry, or similar sectors is highly advantageous.
  • Fluency in French, with strong communication skills to support teams in West Africa.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, with a successful history of leading complex IT projects to completion.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to West Africa for relationship building and on-site support.
What We Offer

$120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience. This salary range takes into account the location, industry, and required skills. Please note that this figure is an estimate and may vary based on individual circumstances.
