Job Title: Database Analyst

We are seeking a skilled Database Analyst to join our team at SunCan Communications Corporation. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our company's database systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect and analyze data to identify areas for improvement within our IT infrastructure
  • Develop and maintain computer databases to ensure data accuracy and security
  • Document reporting needs, queries, logic, results, and recommendations to other information systems professionals
  • Enact measures to prevent unauthorized access to our data
  • Setup our IT infrastructure to allow applications to access our databases
  • Test data models and database management systems to ensure optimal performance
  • Design and develop databases to meet our business needs
  • Operate database management systems to analyze data and provide insights to our team
  • Research and document data requirements, data collection, and administration policy
  • Develop policies and procedures for network access and usage, as well as data backup and recovery
  • Write scripts related to stored procedures and triggers to automate tasks
  • Design, develop, and implement information systems business solutions to meet our company's goals
  • Collect and document user requirements to ensure our systems meet their needs
Requirements:
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Accountability and ability to work under pressure
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Visual Studio, Shell script, Data Warehouse, Linux, Unix, Erwin, Informix, MS SQL Server, Servers, MySQL, Oracle, Database software, Programming languages, Data analysis software, Perl, Python, SQL, and Unix Shell Scripting
