Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Food Counter Attendant to join our team at Subcity Donair.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs to maintain a clean and safe environment for our customers.
  • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware, and place them in storage areas.
  • Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas to ensure a smooth customer experience.
  • Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, and scour pots and pans to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
  • Keep records of the quantities of food used, and package take-out food for our customers.
  • Portion and wrap foods to meet customer demands, and prepare, heat, and finish simple food items.
  • Serve customers at counters or buffet tables, and stock refrigerators and salad bars to maintain a well-stocked environment.
  • Take customers' orders, and use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs.
  • Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment, and handle and store cleaning products safely.
  • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas, and remove kitchen garbage and trash regularly.
Requirements
  • A Food Safety Certificate is required for this position.
  • Physically demanding work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks and standing for extended periods.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a positive attitude, with strong attention to detail and teamwork skills.
  • Availability for shift or on-call work, and ability to reside in proximity to the advertised location.
