Job Title: Railway Labourer

Remcan Projects LP is a leading national railway contractor, dedicated to delivering high-quality maintenance and construction services to railway track owners and operators across Canada.

We are currently seeking a skilled Railway Labourer to join our team for the 2024 season. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing moderate to heavy physical labour, building and maintaining the track and surrounding materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Replacing and repairing various track components, including rails, railway ties, fences, and adjusting the alignment and surface of the track
  • Responding to emergencies and track outages
  • Working in a team environment to achieve project goals
  • Adhering to REMCAN safety guidelines and policies at all times

Requirements:

  • Valid Class 5 or Class G driver's license
  • Able to produce a driver's abstract and insurance claims history
  • Must pass eRailSafe Canada workforce compliance system
  • Able to pass pre-employment medical, including screening for drugs and alcohol
  • Able to work unsupervised and in teams
  • Able to work all types of shifts, including weekends and night shifts
  • Able to work in various weather conditions all year round
  • Ability and willingness to travel to remote work locations as required
