Key Responsibilities- Operate a Cash Register: Accurately process transactions, handle cash, credit, and debit payments, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Process Transactions: Scan items, calculate daily/shift payments, and reconcile with total sales.
- Provide Customer Service: Greet customers, respond to inquiries, and resolve any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Stock Shelves and Clean the Counter Area: Maintain a clean and organized store environment, restock shelves, and ensure the counter area is clean and tidy.
- Verify Customer Age: Verify the age of customers when selling lottery tickets, alcohol, or tobacco products.
- Work with Technology: Operate an electronic cash register, Interac machine, and price scanner.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a retail environment.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, handle heavy loads, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Personal Suitability: Accurate, excellent oral communication, flexibility, team player, reliability, dependability, and maturity.
This is a permanent, full-time position with 35 hours of work per week. The work language is English.
