At Bloomington Cove Community, we are committed to delivering exceptional care and services to our residents. As a Dietary Aide, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by providing high-quality food service and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
The Dietary Aide is responsible for assisting in the preparation and serving of meals, maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas, and adhering to infection control and quality management standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and serving of meals, including food handling, labeling, and storage.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas, including floors, tables, and equipment.
- Adhere to infection control and quality management standards, including proper handwashing and sanitation procedures.
- Support all aspects of optimal food service, including resident diets and food preferences.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- A valid Safe Food Handler's Certificate.
- Food service experience working with institutional, health care, restaurant, or hospitality settings.
- Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
Bonus Points:
- Food Service Worker Certificate – enrolled or program completed.
- Successful completion of a Vulnerable Sector Check (applicable to Ontario applicants) or a Criminal Records Check (applicable to British Columbia applicants).
