About This Role

We are seeking a skilled Solutions Design IT Specialist to join our Retail Liquidity development team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing application and systems solutions to address business challenges.

You will work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop detailed solution designs. Your expertise in C# programming, ASP.NET MVC development, and SQL Server will be essential in delivering high-quality solutions.

In this role, you will be exposed to complex and enterprise-wide projects, and you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of activities. You will be responsible for proposing solution options, generating stakeholder support, and collaborating with stakeholders on project estimates.

As a Solutions Design IT Specialist, you will be expected to produce top-notch functional, technical, and user interface designs. You will also be responsible for reviewing technical deliverables for quality, identifying gaps or redesign as needed, and defining metrics and performance goals with technology partners and peers.

We are looking for a candidate with strong verbal, written, presentation, and communication skills. You should be proactive, organized, and have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Financial experience is a strong asset.

Job Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Undergraduate degree or technical certificate
  • 5-7 years of experience in Business Intelligence/Data Warehousing on SQL Server 2012 and above
  • 7+ years of solid hands-on C# programming experience on the Microsoft stack, including ASP.NET MVC development
  • Experience in Entity Framework and Web API 2
  • Hands-on experience with client-side Web Frameworks like JavaScript, JQuery, JQueryUI, AJAX, JSON, Angular 4+
  • Expert knowledge of the business, broader organization, technical environment, standards, processes, tools, procedures, multiple programming languages, operating systems, solutions design, and other relevant technology areas from a design/support/solutions perspective
  • Readiness and motivation to work autonomously in a lead capacity on a diverse range of activities
  • Primary subject matter expertise in multiple areas; you're seasoned in counselling clients and project teams on all aspects of research, analysis, design, hardware and software support, development of technical solutions, and testing
  • Strength coaching and advising clients, partners, and project teams
  • Commitment to and belief in the quality of your deliverables
