Key Responsibilities- Manage a team of engineers in the Engineering Review Section
- Review complex bridge and retaining wall projects, including design calculations and design drawings, to ensure compliance with City, State, and Federal standards
- Perform complex analysis of bridge load rating calculations in accordance with load rating policies, procedures, and Federal and State load rating directives
- Conduct field inspections of bridges and retaining walls to assess conditions
- Review construction projects for Bridges and retaining walls, including RFI (Request for information) by contractors, conduct field visits to construction sites, and attend construction meetings with Resident Engineer, contractors, and consultants
- Supervise subordinates in technical and administrative matters
- Valid New York State License as a Professional Engineer
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
