Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Leader to join our team at the Wickaninnish Inn. As a key member of our Senior Management Team, you will be responsible for the overall operation of the Housekeeping Department, ensuring that our high standards of service are consistently met and exceeded.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead by example and foster a culture of excellence within the Housekeeping Department.
  • Develop and implement effective systems and processes to drive efficiency, team culture, and guest satisfaction.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Housekeeping Department, including staff supervision, scheduling, and training.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and standards.
  • Source and purchase housekeeping supplies, equipment, and services as needed.
  • Participate in the planning and coordination of renovations, upgrades, and deep cleaning of the Inn during the annual closure.
  • Collaborate with the Housekeeping Leadership Team to create a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with guests, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of management or leadership experience in the service industry or 4 years of experience in a housekeeping department.
  • Excellent guest service skills, with a proven track record of exceeding guest expectations.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of standard operating financial statements, budgeting, and cost management.
  • Working knowledge of relevant platforms, including Maestro PMS and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and flexible scheduling as needed.
  • WHMIS knowledge and/or certification.
