About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Metal Polisher Helper to join our team at Vaughan Metal Polishing Limited. As a key member of our production team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality metal products are delivered to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale, and other materials from metal surfaces.
  • Transport items throughout the plant using powered equipment, ensuring efficient and safe movement of materials.
  • Assist structural steel and platework fitters, sheet metal workers, metal machine operators, and other metal workers in their tasks.
  • Sort metal sheets and parts, scrap metal, and other materials, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Grind or chip excess metal from metal products using hand tools, achieving precise results.
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Load and unload vehicles, ensuring timely and efficient transportation of materials.
  • Polish metal products to a mirror finish, meeting our high-quality standards.
  • Read and interpret work orders, understanding production requirements and deadlines.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
Working Conditions
  • Permanent position.
  • English language required.
  • 33 to 40 hours per week.
