Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Richardson International in Lethbridge, AB. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing repairs and maintenance activities, including the repair of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, alignment of gears, shafts, pumps, gear boxes, belts and agitators, and fabrication of equipment and parts.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform repairs and maintenance activities to ensure the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities.
  • Repair of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including pumps, gear boxes, and valves.
  • Alignment of gears, shafts, pumps, gear boxes, belts and agitators to ensure proper function and efficiency.
  • Fabrication of equipment and parts as needed.
  • Establish and implement preventative & operational maintenance activities to minimize downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform repairs as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:
  • Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Valid Journeyman Millwright Certificate.
  • Skills to operate precision metal cutting & grinding machines such as lathes, milling machines, drills & grinders.
  • Able to use instruments such as micrometers and vernier calipers & prepare working sketches.
  • Able to fit parts to mechanisms and verify dimensions.
  • Able to work with computerized maintenance system.
  • Willing to work weekends and overtime.
  • Excellent computer, communication and documentation skills.
