About the Role
We are seeking an exceptional Manager of Data Engineering to lead our talented team of data engineers in delivering innovative data solutions for our clients. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the design, development, and implementation of scalable data solutions while providing leadership and guidance to our team of data engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of technology solutions
- Deliver large and/or complex full lifecycle data applications across cloud, hybrid, and on-prem landscapes
- Design and build robust data pipelines using scalable tools and techniques to produce high-quality data structures
- Engineer data solutions with experience architecting data transformation projects, developing solution blueprints, and modernization/migration plans
- Implement quicker data processing methods and integrate complex business logic compatible with daily or real-time/streaming frameworks
- Increase automation and scaling of complex data sets based on the customer's analytic use case
- Drive development of effective data policies, standards, guidelines, and usage of data within the organization
- Determine root cause for data integrity gaps and provide appropriate data resolution and process remedy solutions
Requirements
- Relevant university degree/technical certification, and/or relevant experience commensurate to the role
- 9-12 years of IT technology delivery and architecture, operations, people leadership, and strategy experience in a large company
- Minimum of 8 years of experience delivering data analytics solutions on Azure/AWS, Snowflake with expertise in Azure/AWS data services, ADLS, Synapse, Azure SQL, Databricks, ADF, Azure DevOps
- Experience developing Data Platforms on Spark/Hadoop, ETL (Talend), Data Analytics Cloud Native Data Services
- Strong hands-on experience in building data engineering pipelines
