Job Description

At EightSix Network, we are seeking an exceptional Data Engineering Manager to lead our talented team of data engineers in delivering innovative data solutions for our clients.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, with expertise in cloud data technologies such as AWS, Azure, and Snowflake. This role requires a strategic thinker who can drive the design, development, and implementation of scalable data solutions while providing leadership and guidance to our team of data engineers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Implementation of Data Solutions
  • Deliver Large and Complex Data Applications
  • Design and Build Robust Data Pipelines
  • Engineer Data Solutions with Experience in Data Transformation
  • Implement Quicker Data Processing Methods
  • Increase Automation and Scaling of Complex Data Sets
  • Drive the Development of Effective Data Policies
  • Determine Root Cause for Data Integrity Gaps
  • Manage and Lead a Data Engineering Team
  • Responsible for Recruitment and Onboarding Employees
  • Communicate Job Expectations and Monitor Employee Performance
Qualifications:
  • A relevant University degree/technical certification, and/or relevant experience commensurate to the role.
  • 9-12 years of IT technology delivery and architecture, operations, people leadership, and strategy experience in a large company.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience delivering data analytics solutions on Azure/AWS, Snowflake with expertise in Azure/AWS data services, ADLS, Synapse, Azure SQL, Databricks, ADF, and Azure DevOps.
  • Experience developing Data Platforms on Spark/Hadoop, ETL (Talend), Data Analytics Cloud Native Data Services.
  • The ideal candidates should be members or qualify for admission to a provincial engineering professional association.
  • Strong hands-on experience in building data engineering pipelines.
