Job Summary
We are seeking a full-time Associate Teacher to join our vibrant and innovative school community. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach in diverse classrooms from Kindergarten to Grade 7, support student learning with small group and individual instruction, and collaborate with a team of dedicated professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide TOC coverage from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 7, including specialist areas such as French, Art, PE, and Music as appropriate
- Collaborate with classroom teachers supporting in areas such as curriculum planning, differentiated instruction, and assessment
- Provide personalized instruction and learning support for individual students
- Supervise students during non-instructional time
- Participate in co-curricular activities and clubs each term such as choir, debating, cooking, public speaking, coding, and musical theater
- Engage in field trips, outdoor education, service projects, leadership development, and athletics
Requirements and Qualifications
- B.C. Ministry of Education Certificate or
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong time-management and organizational skills
- Commitment to teaching the whole child
- Collaborative, flexible, and enthusiastic
