Job Summary:

The University of Toronto is seeking an Academic Cardiologist Heart Failure Specialist to join its esteemed team. This full-time appointment will be eligible for an academic appointment at the University of Toronto with a position description as a Clinician Teacher, Clinician Investigator or Clinician-in-Quality and Innovation at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of innovative heart failure programs, as well as participate in research initiatives.

About the Department:

The Department of Medicine at the University of Toronto is a world-renowned institution with a strong commitment to excellence in clinical care, education, and research. Our team of cardiologists is dedicated to providing exceptional patient care, while also advancing the field of heart failure through research and education.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative heart failure programs
• Participate in research initiatives, including clinical trials and basic science research
• Provide exceptional patient care, including in-patient and out-patient services
• Supervise trainees in clinical care settings
• Participate in formal teaching and scholarly activities

Requirements:

The successful candidate must hold an MD degree, have or be eligible for certification in Cardiology/Internal Medicine from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and have or be eligible for licensure to practice from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
