Senior Business Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Development Manager to join our growing team at KPMG-Canada. As a key member of our Private Enterprise group, you will play a critical role in delivering non-audit assurance, accounting, and tax services to private clients.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and review compilation of financial statement engagements, review engagements, and tax compliance engagements for private clients, including corporate, personal, partnership, and trust returns.
- Apply knowledge of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE) to ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting.
- Take ownership of overall engagement completion, ensuring all deadlines are communicated and met both internally with staff and partners and externally with clients.
- Assist partners in client receivables and billings, maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Exercise professional judgment when making non-routine decisions, seeking guidance where necessary to ensure high-quality outcomes.
- Identify and analyze client needs, providing comprehensive solutions and advice to drive business growth and success.
- Deliver exceptional service to clients, fostering strong relationships as a trusted business advisor.
- Meet with clients to review results and deliver final reports, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
- Develop a thorough understanding of firm services, businesses, and industry through experiential learning and professional development.
- Lead and manage engagement teams effectively, providing guidance and support to junior staff.
- Act as a Performance Manager to staff, providing coaching and development opportunities to drive individual and team success.
- Qualified CPA with experience working in a management role (minimum 2 years as a manager) in an Assurance and Tax environment in a public practice firm.
- Strong technical accounting and tax knowledge, with experience working with private companies of all sizes.
- Excellent project management skills, with a proven ability to manage time and adhere to strict deadlines and budget.
- Superior interpersonal skills and leadership skills, with a commitment to mentoring and developing junior staff.
- Demonstrate ability to develop a positive rapport with clients and develop business relationships to understand their needs and execute plans to meet their objectives.
