About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Funeral Director to join our team at Temple's Funeral Home Ltd. As a Funeral Director, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and support to families during their time of need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Funeral Planning and Coordination
    • Consult with families to understand their needs and preferences
    • Plan and schedule funeral services, including burials and cremations
    • Coordinate with other professionals, such as clergy and musicians
  • Embalming and Preparation
    • Prepare and embalm deceased individuals
    • Sanitize and preserve human remains for funeral services
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Maintain accurate records and documentation
    • Manage funeral home operations, including inventory and supplies
    • Prepare financial reports and accounts
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • Hold a valid Embalmer Licence and Funeral Director Licence
    • Obtain and maintain necessary certifications, such as WHMIS
  • Transportation and Travel
    • Hold a valid driver's licence
  • Physical Demands
    • Ability to handle heavy loads and work in a fast-paced environment
    • Manual dexterity and attention to detail
    Requirements
    • Education and Certifications
      • Other trades certificate or diploma
      • Embalmer Licence and Funeral Director Licence
    • Experience
      • Experience in the death care industry an asset
    • Personal Qualities

      • Strong communication and organizational skills
