We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Worker to join our team at Family and Children's Services Niagara. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, repairs, and installations to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Maintenance: Assess and carry out routine maintenance needs, including electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs.
- Courier: Provide courier service between offices and in the community, ensuring daily delivery of mail and supplies.
- Team Building: Develop professional working relationships with team members, actively participating in supervision and team meetings.
- Grade 12 Diploma
- Previous working experience in property maintenance or construction industry
- Demonstrated experience and competence with various power and hand tools
- Working knowledge and demonstrated ability in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting skills
- Knowledge of HVAC systems required
- Valid G Driver's License and access to a reliable motor vehicle with appropriate liability insurance
- Occasional periods of sitting and computer/phone use
- Regularly required to lift and/or carry objects weighing up to 20 lbs and less frequently over 20 lbs
- May be exposed to disagreeable elements such as chemical/cleaning substances, fumes, noise, etc.
- Required to work both indoors and outdoors
