Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced High School Principal to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our school community, developing and implementing educational programs, and ensuring the well-being of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead and manage the school community, including teachers, staff, and students
  2. Develop and implement educational programs that meet the needs of our students
  3. Ensure the well-being and safety of our students
  4. Collaborate with teachers and staff to improve student outcomes
  5. Manage school resources and budgets
  6. Communicate with parents and the community
Requirements
  1. Seven (7) years successful teaching/administrative experience
  2. Teaching experience of two divisions and/or specialized areas within the school system
  3. Certificate of Qualification and Registration in good standing from the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT)
  4. Master of Education (preferred)
  5. Special Education, Part 1 (preferred)
  6. Addressing Anti-Black Racism to Change Pedagogy and Practice, Part 1 or equivalent (preferred)
  7. Completed Principal's qualifications according to Regulation 298: Section 9 (Principal's Certificate Part I and Part II or equivalent) prior to beginning assignment
  8. Completed Religious Education Specialist or equivalency (i.e., Master of Religious Education)
  9. Completed Modules I & II of the Board's current Catholic Leadership Program or equivalent
  10. Committed to, or completion of, Equity and Inclusion Training Part I, with a commitment to complete Part II within the first year of appointment
  11. Pastoral Reference for a Leadership Position in Catholic Education (dated within the last twelve months)
  12. Recommendation from your current supervising Superintendent of Education
