About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Wholesale Buyer to join our team at Marine Seafood. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with suppliers, negotiating prices and terms, and overseeing the distribution of merchandise to our outlets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement and Sourcing
    • Establish and maintain contact with suppliers to ensure a stable and reliable supply chain
    • Negotiate prices, discounts, credit terms, and transportation arrangements with suppliers to optimize costs and efficiency
  • Inventory Management
    • Maintain adequate stock levels to meet customer demand and minimize stockouts
    • Review inventory levels and adjust purchasing decisions accordingly
  • Merchandise Management
    • Select and purchase merchandise for resale, ensuring quality and compliance with company standards
    • Oversee the distribution of merchandise to our outlets, ensuring timely and efficient delivery
  • Reporting and Analysis
    • Monitor and analyze sales data and market trends to inform purchasing decisions
    • Provide regular reports to management on procurement activities and inventory levels
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
