Job Summary

The Host/Hostess is a vital member of our Canucks Bar and Grill team, responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests. As a Host/Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, setting the tone for their visit and ensuring they feel welcome and valued.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet guests and seat them at an appropriate table, ensuring a warm and inviting atmosphere.
  • Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including setting tables and refilling condiments.
  • Assist with cash handling and operate a point-of-sale system with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen and server teams to ensure timely and accurate food delivery.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to guest inquiries and resolving any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge about our menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and pairing suggestions.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to improve skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Previous customer service experience, preferably in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with cash handling.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and move quickly and safely in a fast-paced environment.
