About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Security Architect to join our team at Equitable Life of Canada. As a key member of our Data and Integration Platform team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing data security standards and practices that ensure the integrity and confidentiality of our data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with data governance, information security, risk, legal, and compliance teams to develop and implement data security standards and practices.
  • Design and implement data security architecture principles that align with business needs and ensure the integrity and confidentiality of data.
  • Develop and administer data security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Work with IT business units to create business cases and present data architectural roadmaps to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with SysOps and ITSec teams to create ideal support models for future architectural states.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of combined applied experience and an advanced university degree in a related field.
  • Experience building a strategy focused on data security from the ground up, with an understanding of how to implement modern capabilities on legacy and modern technologies.
  • Security certification (GIAC, CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH) and in-depth knowledge of related regulatory controls (OSFI).
  • Demonstrated experience designing solutions for PKI, Data Encryption, DLP, PII, and sensitive data.
  • Knowledge of PIPEDA and GDPR.
