The Distribution Centre Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our distribution centre. This position requires a strong leader who can collaborate with various departments to meet customer needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the overall performance of the distribution centre, ensuring compliance with health and safety policies, and overseeing an operating budget.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise distribution operations to meet service and quality standards
* Develop and manage the distribution centre team to provide prompt and accurate customer service
* Implement health and safety policies and procedures
* Maintain inventory accuracy through the use of RF technology and cycle counts
* Assist in developing and managing the operating budget
* Apply continuous improvement principles to enhance operations and customer service
* Ensure compliance with internal practices and external regulations
* Provide training to employees on internal standards and provincial/state laws
* Coordinate repairs and purchases for the distribution centre
Qualifications and Experience
* College diploma in a related field or equivalent work experience in distribution, logistics, and customer service
* Strong leadership and project management skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP
* Experience in an RF environment and unionized environment
