We are seeking a skilled Rough Carpenter to join our team at CANERA HOMES INC. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our building projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare layouts and designs in accordance with building codes and regulations.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
- Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
- Schedule and coordinate work on sites, ensuring timely completion of projects.
- Train and supervise apprentices in the trade.
- Estimate costs and materials for projects, ensuring budgetary compliance.
- Operate computer-aided design (CADD) software and other technology systems.
- Maintain, repair, and renovate residential and commercial structures, including wooden structures in various settings.
- 1-2 years of experience in the trade.
- Permanent employment with a 30-hour workweek.
- English language proficiency.
This role requires a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and handling heavy loads. The work environment is physically demanding, with tight deadlines and a large workload.
