About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team at Econo Muffler Auto Centres. As a Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating and repairing metal parts and products using various welding techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret welding process specifications to ensure accurate and efficient production.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment to cut and shape metal.
  • Use brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines to create precise metal components.
  • Fabricate and repair metal parts and products using welding, brazing, and soldering techniques.
  • Determine the weldability of materials to ensure safe and effective welding processes.
  • Operate hoisting and lifting equipment to move heavy metal components.
  • Start up, shut down, adjust, and monitor robotic welding production lines to optimize efficiency.
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with heavy lifting and physical demands.
  • Work a regular 30-hour week with a permanent work term.
  • Work in a team environment with a focus on safety and quality.
