Job Description

We are seeking a skilled .NET developer to join our team and contribute to the development of our software. As a developer, you will be responsible for designing and developing our cloud distributed backend SaaS solution, which provides the business logic for standardizing and monitoring millions of daily near real-time transactions between our various mobile and dispatching solutions.

Responsibilities

  1. Design and develop our cloud distributed backend SaaS solution.
  2. Implement the technical vision of our wGLN backend systems.
  3. Document requirements and issues.
  4. Perform and develop unit testing and peer code review.
  5. Anticipate and assess complex issues and propose adapted solutions.
  6. Apply software development processes and policies defined by the development management team.
  7. Participate in software releases.
  8. Collaborate with coworkers to facilitate the creation of large, complex developments, as required.
  9. Remain abreast of coding and technological change that will impact your work.
  10. Automate and simplify our development process.

Requirements

  1. University degree or college diploma in software development or equivalent experience.
  2. Proficiency in agile methodology.
  3. Good knowledge and at least 5 years experience in C#, .NET and SQL languages.
  4. Good knowledge and applied experience with GIT.
  5. Good knowledge and applied experience with .NET EntityFramework.
  6. Good understanding of microservice architecture.
  7. Good knowledge and applied experience of Devops operations preferable such as:
    1. Able to setup a docker environment.
    2. Able to setup MS Devops Pipeline workflow for release using YAML format.
  8. Knowledge of one or more of the following is an asset:
    1. MSSQL, or equivalent database.
    2. .Net Core 8, MQTT, RabbitMQ.
    3. AWS and Azure cloud environments.
    4. Newrelic instrumentation.
    5. Graylog.

Location

This is a hybrid position and requires the employee to come to our office in Sorel-Tracy a couple of days per week.
