Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs to buildings, equipment, and grounds to ensure a safe and healthy environment for students and staff.
  • Coordinate and supervise the work of other nonspecialized employees to ensure efficient and effective completion of tasks.
  • Order and purchase materials, products, and equipment required for maintenance work, ensuring compliance with established procedures and standards.
  • Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of facilities, including the preparation of rooms and facilities as needed.
  • Develop and implement procedures to ensure adequate security against theft or fire, and monitor the comings and goings of visitors, students, and staff as required.
  • Make recommendations on products, materials, equipment, and working methods to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Post-secondary education in a related field, such as facilities management or maintenance.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a maintenance or facilities management role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to perform routine maintenance and repairs.
