About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Distribution Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and implementing electrical distribution systems that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical distribution systems, including overhead and underground projects.
  • Prepare and issue work orders, detailed estimates, and material lists using QUADRA estimating tool.
  • Prepare distribution standards, specifications, and evaluate tenders.
  • Conduct engineering analysis of electrical distribution systems using AutoCAD, PLS-CADD, and Or SPIDACalc Engineering Software.
  • Assist with residential and commercial service layout requests.
  • Coordinate with third-party consultants to ensure project timelines are met.
  • Contribute to a positive workplace culture by fostering collaboration, maintaining a positive attitude, and supporting our customers.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary diploma as an Engineering Technologist.
  • Eligible to obtain C. Tech. or C.E.T. designation within one year of employment.
  • Minimum three years' experience with an electrical utility, sound knowledge of electrical distribution systems, street light design, and distribution standards.
  • A valid Class 'G' driver's license.
  • Proficient with the latest AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Products, including Excel and Word.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, including the ability to interact with all levels of staff and management.
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound judgments and adapt to change.
  • Proven time management skills and a demonstrated ability to manage projects within tight timelines.
