Role Summary

As a Senior Consultant, Data Science at Project X Ltd., you will be responsible for providing clients with expert knowledge and experience in data analysis, using computer science, statistics, and mathematics to analyze, process, and model data. You will interpret results to create actionable data-driven solutions for our clients, leveraging your expertise to drive business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Participate in requirements gathering, analysis, project planning, and solutions design to deliver high-quality data-driven solutions.
  2. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions, ensuring alignment with client needs and goals.
  3. Develop and implement feature engineering, selection, and optimization models using machine learning techniques, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  4. Improve data collection procedures and pipelines, performing data profiling and exploration to ensure data quality and integrity.
  5. Productionalize data models with feedback loops to automate the refinement process for deployed models over time, ensuring continuous improvement and optimization.
  6. Participate in the development of project plans to establish appropriate workload expectations and schedules, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  7. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends and practices, applying relevant expertise to drive business outcomes and deliver exceptional results.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  1. 7+ years of hands-on experience in Data Science, with a strong background in computer science, statistics, and mathematics.
  2. Solid Python and SQL development skills, with experience in machine learning and data analysis.
  3. Experience with NLP and LLM, including knowledge of relevant frameworks and libraries.
  4. Experience with ML/Data Science modules in Python, including NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-Learn, and Jupyter notebooks.
  5. Experience building recommendation engines and working with ML Engineers and ML ops to deploy and automate models.
  6. Understanding of different Deep Learning frameworks, including Keras, PyTorch, and TensorFlow.
  7. Experience with NLP frameworks/libraries, including Gensim and SpaCy.
  8. Experience building NLP and NLU models with state-of-the-art algorithms, including BERT and Transformer.
  9. Advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Intelligence, Data Science, or related field.
  10. Critical thinking capabilities and a consultative mindset, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have

  1. Experience with A/B testing and cloud technology, including AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  2. BigQuery experience and knowledge of data warehousing and business intelligence.
