About the Senior Data Scientist Role

We're seeking an experienced Data Scientist to shape our data science capabilities and strategies. As a Senior Data Scientist at Float, you'll:

  • Develop a data strategy aligned with our business goals, identifying key metrics and data collection processes.
  • Build and maintain our data warehouse using DBT, unlocking deeper analytics and empowering teams to use data in their day-to-day work.
  • Work closely with the product team to build data-led products and analyze large-scale datasets to extract meaningful insights.
  • Evaluate model performance and propose enhancements to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with all teams to understand data needs and provide solutions.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Strong technical skills in data modeling, data structures, data mining, predictive modeling, and analysis tools.
  • Ability to explain complex data in simple terms and communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Understanding of machine learning algorithms and statistics.
  • Business acumen and ability to understand the impact of data on business decisions.
  • Comfort with a fast-paced environment and ability to adapt to changes.
  • Attention to detail and strategic thinking.
  • Ruthless prioritization and ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Experimental mindset and eagerness to continue learning.
