Job Title: Pre-Construction Manager

Borea Construction is seeking a highly skilled Pre-Construction Manager to join our team. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for the management of civil, mechanical, and structural engineering for wind and solar projects in Canada.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the design consultants to ensure effective and timely design that meets construction budget and schedule requirements.
  • Ensure project engineering is in accordance with documents and contractual requirements.
  • Support estimation department in choosing design solutions for projects and assist with estimating scope.
  • Lead RFP of key items within scope and/or provide technical support during RFP stage.
  • Review site-related project documents to assess construction feasibility and design solutions.
  • Manage pre-construction testing required for design optimization.
  • Assess pre-construction testing scope and provide cost estimate.
  • Communicate design and construction plan to execution team.
  • Provide technical support to execution team in an advisory capacity during construction.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or relevant experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in civil construction industry.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to synthesize information.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player and ability to work with remote teams.
  • Availability for occasional travel within Canada.
