Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced High-Voltage Equipment Specialist to join our team at Cementation Canada. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a licensed Journeyperson Electrician to work on the installation and commissioning of conveyor belts, including services and utilities required for the conveyors.

About the Role

This position involves working collaboratively with other trades personnel and crew members to inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting equipment using testers and referring to wiring diagrams and schematics. Additionally, they will ensure compliance with codes and regulations, and maintain a safe and efficient working environment.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensure full understanding and compliance with company policies and procedures related to Occupational Health and Safety Act and other local regulatory requirements
  • Maintain a safe and efficient working environment by identifying potential hazards and implementing corrective actions
  • Work closely with other crew members to create and maintain a synergy required to accomplish the shift line-up in the cycle
  • Develop applicable risk assessments, procedures, and work standards for all tasks
  • Ensure applicable procedures and work standards for all tasks are understood, adhered to, and complied with at all times
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must possess a valid Journeyperson Electrician Certificate, registration as an Electrician in Ontario (if applicable), and a minimum 3 years of work-related experience as a licensed Journeyperson Electrician. A strong aptitude for performing routine equipment maintenance, troubleshooting skills, and effective communication skills are essential for this position. Experience working with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and MacLean Bolters, Scoops, Dump Trucks, and Jumbo's is considered an asset.

Benefits and Compensation

This is a competitive compensation package with a base salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for career growth and development. We offer a comprehensive group benefits plan, paid time off, and a pension plan.
