Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Biotechnology Specialist to join our team at Knight Therapeutics.

About the Role

This position involves establishing and maintaining peer-to-peer relationships with leading physicians, referred to as Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), at major academic institutions and clinics in British Columbia. You will work cross-functionally with various departments, including Regulatory, Pharmacovigilance, Medical Information, Market Access, and Commercial, to achieve business strategic imperatives.

Responsibilities
  • Scientific Communication: Develop and disseminate in-depth scientific content on assigned products or therapeutic areas, including slide decks and scientific messaging platforms.
  • Education: Develop and assist in the assembly of scientific medical learning events and preceptorship programs, defining agendas, inviting speakers, and monitoring events.
  • Data Generation: Support planning and execution of clinical studies, expanded access programs, and local publications, acting as first point of medical review.
  • Insight Collection: Conduct advisory boards and consultation meetings, attend conferences, and write conference insight reports.
  • Medical Projects: Implement partnership and collaborative projects, organize medical affairs booths at scientific conferences, and develop medical materials.
  • Compliance and Budget: Follow applicable SOPs, regulations, policies, and code of conduct, participate in audits and inspections, and ensure compliance with assigned budget.
Requirements
  • At least 1 year of experience in the pharma industry (MSL, medical advisor) or equivalent professional, clinical, or research experience in a scientific field.
  • Knowledge of market access, regulatory, commercial, and clinical context related to the pharma industry, research methodology, and good clinical practices.
  • Health Science University Degree; Advanced scientific degree is an asset (PharmD, PhD, DO, MD).
  • Fluency in English (oral and written), excellent interpersonal and communication skills, result-oriented, teamwork attitude, self-management and time organization abilities, and strong computer skills.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
