Job Summary

DC Foods Canada Ltd is seeking a skilled Culinary Expert to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Meal Preparation: Determine the size of food portions and costs, plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization.
  • Kitchen Management: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, inspect kitchens and food service areas.
  • Team Supervision: Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food, order supplies and equipment, supervise kitchen staff and helpers.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment, clean kitchen and work areas.
  • Organization: Organize buffets and banquets, maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate or diploma required.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Setting: Restaurant environment.
